You can lose. Or if you want to win you can change.” … Lester Thurow US economics professor.
This blog is dedicated to cutting through the bullshit that unfortunately fills the machining, machine tool and CADCAM industry. The typical forum, newsgroup or blog “fanboy” mentality simply doesn’t exist here.
I don’t take advertising money.
I don’t work for a CADCAM company.
I don’t work for a machine tool company.
I do work for a company that is the biggest and most innovative of its kind in its industry.
If I review a product or service and write about it on this blog you can be damn sure what I have to say is not because someone gave me something for free or at a discount or paid for me to attend a seminar or conference.
If you think you can read a fair review or get unbiased, honest advise on web sites like the Novedge blog, Practically Worthless Machinist, CNC Advertising Zone, the MMS Forum, In House Solutions e-Mastercam forum or Matt Lombard’s blog where the author has no clues about the tools that machining job shops need then what I have to say is not meant for you and you’re wasting your time here.
This blog is for those experienced and smart enough to know this business is full of liars, losers and idiots and who want to cut through the bullshit and get to the facts about what’s good and what’s not so good about manufacturing related products or services.
This blog is for those smart enough to know history based CAD modelers have serious limitations and that better products are needed by machinists and CADCAM programmers.
This blog is for those who know there are no CAD or CAM “experts” and laugh at those who pretend to be “experts” instead of worshipping them. If you’re a complete idiot like Usenet’s Tom Brewer and think a roll back bar in a history based CAD modeler is a good enough tool and that the manufacturing world needs more “experts” like Matt Lombard you’re not going to be very happy reading what I have to say and I strongly suggest you move on to some of the many places where you will find plenty of people who won’t tell it like it is. On the other hand, if you recognized that you’re not getting the full truth, or even close to it, at the sites or from the people I mentioned above, than perhaps you will enjoy what I have to say and save yourself some time, money and aggravation.
