What Is The Best Way To Learn Mastercam?

The answer to this question is to augment what you learn in a machining job shop with Mike Mattera’s Mastercam videos. Mike Mattera really should be working for CNC Software producing what CNC Software’s educational division has shown they can’t produce. Just because this is yet another area that CNC Software badly lags in doesn’t mean you have to suffer the same fate. Mike Mattera’s Mastercam video library keeps growing now that he’s no longer selling Edgecam. I own two of Mike Mattera’s videos and they are both worth the $175 I paid for them. I was offered a discount and I refused it because Mike Mattera deserves every penny of what he changes. You can find information on Mike Mattera’s videos at the link below.

Despite all the good I wrote above,  I feel I need to add that Mike Mattera’s Surfacing video for Mastercam badly needs an update.  It does not cover Mastercam’s High Speed Surfacing toolpaths. At the time Mike Mattera made the  video I don’t think Mastercam had High Speed Surfacing toolpaths.  Also, Mike Mattara needs to do a better job of showing at least two parts that are done start to finish using a series of roughing and finishing surfacing toolpaths to complete the parts.

These videos are so good that I will publish (unedited) anyone who isn’t satisfied with how good these videos really are.  Note, I reserve the right to call you and idiot and explain why you’re an idiot if you’re not happy with these videos.
