It’s not even close. This company has more / better video that shows how their product works than any other CAM company. By doing this they show where their user interface has major advantages over a product like Mastercam.
Their user interface is less modal and has better chaining that is easier to see. Their videos make it clear that you don’t have to close the machining parameters dialog box to use toolpath verification. You also don’t have to close the machining parameters dialog box to regenerate your toolpath.
When it comes to chaining geometry you can do this directly from a machining operations dialog box while it’s open instead of having to chain your geometry first and then define machining parameters. You can also modify or add chains while a machining operations dialog box is open.
They have the same user interface for all machining operation dialog boxes rather than the mixed mess of a user interface that Mastercam currently has. When it comes to a Tool Library they have graphic pictures of the tools where you can actually make out what the tool is because the pictures of the tools are so vivid. They also have a written label underneath all the tool pictures. Finally they appear to have a Tool Library that is far easier to navigate and quickly define multiple tools in.
If your realize you didn’t create the machining coordinate system you need while in a machining parameters dialog box you don’t have to close the machining parameters dialog box and then open the WCS View Manager Dialog box to create the machining coordinate system you need. This can be done right from the machining operations parameters dialog box.
